I'll have to admit that I'm from the camp that "thought" cloaking was bad. And why is that? Because I never really fully understood the concepts and implementations of cloaking.

Well, I'm here to tell you that cloaking is good. Too many people focus on the negative side of things which leaves many of us thinking the same thing. Not I! Not anymore. I am now convinced.

It is a New Ways To Manage Duplicate Content on a Site? It is an example of where cloaking would solve the issues that plague those of us dealing with dynamic content.

Cloaking is not for the everyday Webmaster either. It took me 2 years to finally realize and understand the benefits. I was being hit with too many topics saying that cloaking was bad. And, I could see where that could be construed based on the implementation. Anything can be bad if used for deceptive purposes.

Today's Webmaster should be educated in the use of cloaking. You may be sitting on a site that is capable of generating millions of pages. You surely wouldn't want a bot in there generating a few extra million pages while executing sort queries, would ya?

Any Idea for PR update

Hi All,

Any one have idea for next pr update.
There are discussions in the forums concerning a PageRank (PR) and Backlink update in Google. I read somewhere once that the earliest was 85 days after last update 113 days was the longest.

The last "big" update was the week of October 22nd. Usually it is in the three month area for updates. Last update was in Oct/Nov timeframe where some sites got PR update in Oct 07 but most of the sites got their PR update in Nov. If I guess, then the next update would be around Feb/March timeframe.

No one can say pefect time for google updation.
But if We guess, then the next update would be around March month's first week or second.

First, go to the homepage and see if the link pages are linked from it. This will tell you if the page your link is going to appear on will ever have any value. If the page where your link is likely to appear is more than two clicks away from the homepage I would disregard it unless it is a high ranking site with PR valued links pages already.

Also check the source code of the links page. There are sneaky, underhand people out there who will put a meta tag in the head portion of the page HTML with a no follow tag. This tells the search engines not to look on this page. Your link will never be found whilst the link you put on your site will add value to their site.
